BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — 6 people were arrested on Thursday in the areas of 3500 Serrano Way and East 19th Street in Bakersfield after more than 353 pounds of processed marijuana, firearms and a flamethrower were seized at illegal marijuana dispensaries.
Investigators from the Kern County Sheriff's Office Southern Tri-County High Intensity Drug Trafficking area arrested the individuals for their involvement in the cultivation, distribution and operation of illegal marijuana dispensaries, weapons violations and narcotics violations.
27-year-old Isac Vera was arrested for cultivation of marijuana, maintaining a residence/business for purpose of narcotics sales, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a machine gun and conspiracy to commit a crime.
28-year-old Yessina Mendoza was arrested for cultivation of marijuana, maintaining a residence/business for purpose of narcotics sales, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a machine gun and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Larry Smith was arrested for cultivation of marijuana.
Clay Turk was arrested for cultivation of marijuana and maintaining a business/residence for purpose of narcotics sales.
Joshua Wright was arrested for cultivation of marijuana.
Alex O'Neal was arrested for cultivation of marijuana.
In all, investigators seized more than 353 pounds of marijuana, 14,324 grams of marijuana concentrate, approximately 1421 grams of marijuana edibles and 313 marijuana plants.
In addition, 15 firearms were seized, including an illegally converted automatic Glock, a flame thrower and over 500 rounds of ammunition.
