The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide at Cottonwood Rd and Cannon Ave.
Deputies were dispatched to the area at 8:20 PM on Friday night. They arrived to find a male victim in the street suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to Kern Medical where he died of his injuries, according to KCSO.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 661-861-3110.
