KERN COUNTY, Calif. (KERO) — You can help make a child very happy this Christmas season. The Kern County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with Carniceria La Carreta to collect toys for local kids.

You can bring donations of new, unwrapped toys to both store locations in Kern County until December 12th. This is the 36th year KCSO has hosted the drive.

The department says it's a good way to help bring deputies and community members together.
