Since the moment the vote went in favor of the Kern High School District adopting the policies for transgender students to use the restroom of their choice, both sides have spoken up about what they believe is right.

Leading us to tonight's district board meeting where both sides have said they will be well represented.

First the board favored the policy in a close three to two vote, then Chad Vegas officially announced he will not re-run for his seat on the board.

But tonight protestors and supporters of the vote will attend the meeting to voice their opinion.

Ken Mettler, who is running against Kevin McCarthy for the Congressional 23rd District seat, said:

The recent transgender bill enacted in California that requires public schools to have transgender bathrooms and sports facilities is pure lunacy.  Basically it is a solution looking for a problem.

We have been failed by elected officials who promote political correctness, and others who succumb to intimidation, rather than making solid public policy.

Kevin McCarthy, our local incumbent congressman, recently enabled Obama's transgender agenda.  He led the vote for a bloated green energy bill for the Dept of Energy that included a mandate that businesses adopt Obama's unconstitutional sexual identity executive order making transgenderism the law of the land.

Thankfully, this attempt at cultural Marxism was defeated with the help of 130 conservative Republicans.

I encourage the KHSD Board to stand up for our children, just as the conservatives in Congress did, and not allow a further degradation of our society.

(I will speak to the KHSD Board at the public meeting Monday June 6, 2016 at 7:00PM)
