BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County District Attorney's Office has received a grant to fund a special DUI prosecution team.

The D.A.'s office received a $220,259 from the California Office of Traffic Safety. According to the D.A's Office, the grant will fund a Vertical Prosecution team that will work cases from arrest through conviction and sentencing.

Prosecution teams will also work with California's Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor Training Network to receive specialized training and resources.
