Due to Excessive Heat Warnings, and record temperatures this week in Bakersfield, the management at Kern County Raceway have canceled this Saturday’s race event.

“The safety and well being of our competitors and spectators is always a top priority,” stated Kern County Raceway GM, Larry Collins. “With this week’s heat wave having uncommonly high heat indexes, which takes into account both temperature and humidity levels, we felt that canceling was the right decision.”

Kern County Raceway will now look forward to its next race event scheduled for Saturday, July 1st, featuring its annual fireworks show.
