Tonight, students from Kern County will be competing for a spot in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The spelling bee is happening in the Bakersfield City School District Auditorium at 6:00pm.
The winner of the Kern County Spelling Bee will qualify to participate in the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May.
