Kern Public Health confirms 27 new residents have tested positive for the coronavirus

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Public Health Services Department has confirmed that 27 more Kern County residents have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Public Health has previously told 23ABC News that when they are notified about a positive patient they investigating these cases to determine potential exposure sources and any contacts the patients may have had.

This brings the total cases of COVID-19 in Kern County residents up to 396 plus the 8 non-resident who also tested positive.

Three residents have died from COVID-19 so far.

At last check 113 people have recovered and are no longer infectious according to Kern County Public Health.
