Early Saturday morning Clint and DeeDee Lewis, owners of all the Bakersfield Wingstops were giving away 250 turkeys at Greater Harvest Church (5421 Aldrin Ct.).

They started handing out turkeys around 8 a.m. Along with Greater Harvest Church they also partnered with Upside Down productions to make sure Kern County families in need were able to receive their free Thanksgiving meal.

Each family received a twelve pound turkey, bread, vegetables, stuffing, cranberry sauce and potatoes. All people need to bring to receive the free meal was an ID and a utility bill for proof of residence.
