A local musician is asking for the public’s help after his guitars are stolen.

Juan Martinezguerra, of Bakersfield, got home from work last Monday evening to find his bedroom window shattered and his home burglarized.

Although his window faces a busy stretch of Ming Avenue, Martinezguerra says that the poorly-lit complex which lacks surveillance cameras and security guards is an easy target for local criminals.

While many items were taken from his apartment on Ming avenue near Ashe road, Martinezguerra says having his three guitars stolen from him - is what hurts the most.

Martinezguerra says home burglaries are a big problem for the residents at the Ming garden apartments.

23ABC reached out to the Ming Garden Apartments who tells us that they are working with Martinezguerra to provide additional lighting and do what they can to provide safety for residents.
