Man and woman arrested for suspicious activity in Tehachapi

Over the past few days there has been reports of a man and woman knocking on doors in the Golden Hills area asking homeowners for items or stating that they were homeless, according to Kern County Sheriff's Office.

On the morning of October 30, deputies received a call with similar details. As deputies responded to a vehicle matching the description of the suspects, they initiated a traffic stop and a man and woman were detained. 

Upon further investigation, the two people were arrested for prowling and various other unrelated charges.

According to deputies, Jennifer Cratty, 45, and Robert Monson, 47, were arrested. Cratty was booked for prowling and Monson was booked for possession of a concealed weapon, violation of a court order, resisting or delaying a peace officer and providing false information to a peace officer.
