A man was arrested for allegedly stealing more than $11,000 worth of computer equipment from an oilfield company.
According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, an oilfield company located in the 1500 block of China Grade Loop reported multiple thefts of computer equipment, including four laptops worth an estimated $11,600.
During the course of their investigation, detectives found a laptop matching the description of one of the missing laptops for sale online.
They set up a sting operation, posing as a potential buyer, and arranged a meeting with 29-year-old David Ojeda. He was found in possession of all of the stolen laptops.
The laptops were returned to the company.
Ojeda faces multiple charges including burglary and grand theft.
