BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man died on Saturday night after his vehicle veered off of Highway 178.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened just after 7 p.m. Saturday along the 178.
The car hit a guardrail, went down a mountain and eventually collided into a tree above the Kern River.
A man's body was found near the scene and he was pronounced dead shortly after.
