BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is trying to determine whether a man is a victim or suspect after being shot in South Bakersfield Saturday afternoon.
According to BPD, two men were in the midst of a dispute, when one of them pulled out a fake gun at about 2:48 p.m.
The other man pulled out a real gun and opened fire on the man.
Officers who responded to the scene were unable to locate the man who fired the weapon and did not take the injured man into custody, according to BPD.
The injured man is expected to survive, according to BPD.
