BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The man who was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 2-year-old boy in Oildale pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.

Officials said on October 9, 37-year-old Eric Truman took Jace Pletcher from his home which led to a public search for both Truman and Pletcher.

They were eventually found the next morning and Truman was arrested for kidnapping.

His bail has been set at $175,000.

Truman is scheduled to be in court on October 25.
