William Edward Curtis pled no contest to two of several charges after being arrested for trying to set his neighbor on fire with a homemade flamethrower in December 2015.
Curtis pled no contest to attempted burglary of first degree and assault with a caustic chemical, etc.
The other charges will be dropped, including attempted murder, first degree attempted burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of an arson device, and possession of an explosive destructive device as part of the plea deal.
Curtis’ sentencing is set for October 10 at 8:30 a.m. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
