March 13th marks National Napping Day, originally founded at Boston University in 1999 to promote the health benefits of a nap.
March 13, 2017 - Boston University professor created the day in 1999 to show the benefits of napping. It is also conveniently on the day after Daylight Saving Day so everyone can catch up on the hour of sleep they lost!

Arvin Police are investigating a shooting that left a man in stable, but serious condition on Saturday night.
(UPDATE 10:30 a.m.) A long-time friend of the victim from last night's shooting identified him as 32-year-old Chris Rodriguez.
