Multiple Central Valley District Attorney Offices will be auditing the internal review by the Catholic Diocese in Fresno, according to Mariposa District Attorney Walter Wall.

A former FBI official has been hired by the Fresno Diocese to complete an internal review, looking into possible cases of sexual abuse within the diocese.

Mariposa District Attorney Walter Wall tells 23ABC that multiple counties will be involved with reviewing the findings from the diocese, but could not confirm whether Kern County was one of them.

A call to the Kern County District Attorney's office has not yet been returned.

The announcement comes days after Monsignor Craig Harrison was placed on paid administrative leave by the Fresno Diocese following allegations of sexual abuse.
