UPDATE (12/3): PG&E says power in the area has been restored.
The company said 4300 customers in southwest Bakersfield lost power at 7:40 p.m.; within 6 minutes, 1350 customers had their power back.
All power was restored by 9 p.m.
ORIGINAL: Nearly 3,000 people are without power in southwest Bakersfield.
The outage began at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Sunday night. Pacific Gas and Electric is investigating the cause. They say 2,947 customers are affected.
The outage appears to be affecting customers near the Park at Riverwalk.
PG&E is expecting power to be restored at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night.
