The Oceano Dunes District is holding a virtual public meeting on May 13 for comment on Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP).

The HCP is a conservation program that is working towards an incidental take permit under the Federal Endangered Species Act for federally-listed species at Pismo State Beach and Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area.

The upcoming meeting will be a chance for the pubic to provide verbal comment on the environmental analysis contained in the HCP's Draft Environment Impact Report.

To attend the public meeting on the Oceano Dunes HCP Draft EIR people much register in advance.

Anyone wishing to provide verbal comment will be given an opportunity to speak. Meeting participation is the only way to submit verbal comment. It is not necessary to attend the meeting to submit written comment.

Registration is required to receive a link to the online meeting. Registration may occur any time prior to the meeting and up to 30 minutes after the meeting has started

The public may also submit written comment on the Draft EIR through emailing comments to the following address: OceanoDunesHCP@parks.ca.gov.
