BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department arrested at least two people suspected of an armed robbery in South Bakersfield Saturday night.
According to police, at least one of the suspects held the victim at gunpoint and robbed him near the Valley Plaza Mall at about 10 p.m., before fleeing in a Ford Mustang.
Officers responded to the scene near Wible Road and Ming Avenue and located the suspects in a vehicle a short time later. According to BPD, officers located a firearm and the stolen items inside the vehicle, leading to the arrest of at least two people believed to be involved.
The suspects were identified as 22-year-old Javier Calderon and a male juvenile. They were arrested for robbery, conspiracy and weapons violations.
