One of the three suspects in the deadly Madison Street shooting from Wednesday night spoke to 23ABC this afternoon.

Jeffrey Tapia will spoke with 23ABC's Ken Mashinchi this afternoon and the interview was streamed live.

WARNING: The below interview is live, so there may be explicit language. Viewer discretion is advised.

He says that he has little recollection of the night of the shooting because he had been popping "Zany bars", or Xanax.

He thought that he and his friends would just be smoking and hanging out. He says he was not not expecting the night to take a violent turn.

"It worries me because I don't know what, I don't know what, what really, really went on. I just remember parts and the parts that I do remember, it's going to end up pretty bad."

Tapia was one of three men arrested in a shooting in the area of Madison Street and Del Mar Drive just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old victim, Benjamin Mendoza, was taken to Kern Medical where he later died.

Tapia and Daniel Marquez, the second suspect, are 20 years old. The third suspect is 19-year-old Ricky Cortez. All three had warrants and were on probation.
