Building inspections at U.C. Berkeley found that nearly 1 in 5 buildings examined pose a safety risk.   

The inspection follows a deadly balcony collapse last year that killed six young people.

The inspection program examined residences with three or more units that were raised several feet above ground and were exposed to weather conditions.

 It was determined that 402 buildings need repairs.
