Parents of a transgender student filed a lawsuit against Heritage Oak Private School in Yorba Linda because they say the school denied 8-year-old Nicole Brar from wearing a girl's uniform and required her to use the boys' restroom.

The suit claims the school is a non religious for profit business... and is treated like any business in California where you can't discriminate on the basis of gender identity.
