Rosedale Union and Norris School District officials said on Wednesday that Veterans and Patriot Elementary Schools were on lockdown as a precaution due to a pursuit that happened in the area.

The lockdowns happened before 2:00 P.M.

Patriot Elementary School

CHP officials told 23ABC that they responded to a stolen vehicle call.

There were 3 people in the vehicle.

CHP officials added they were able to arrest 2 of them and the third suspect took off.

There’s a perimeter set up in the area while they look for the suspect.

Veterans Elementary School

Rosedale Union School District official added that Patriot Elementary School is already out of session. This was a teacher and staff day only, no kids are there.

Rosedale officials added that this is not related to the recent robo threat calls, and they haven’t had any of those calls yet this year.

Norris School District officials say that Veterans Elementary School is on lockdown as a precaution after the same pursuit.

Veteran's school lockdown was lifted after 2:30 pm.
