PG&E: Kern County still impacted by planned power shutoffs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — PG&E has reported over 3,000 customers are without power from wind causing damage to equipment. Officials said these outages were not planned and are scattered throughout the county.

They also reported a total of 671 customers are without power in Arvin, Bakersfield, and Lebec due to its planned power shutoff.

According to Pacific Gas & Electric local officials, an “all clear” signal for a planned power shutoff has been given to all counties except Kern County.

PG&E crews said that they are continuing inspections and restoration efforts to customers in impacted areas.

There is reportedly over 6,300 personnel and 46 helicopters enlisted for restoration efforts.
