The group Police Lives Matter 661 stood together earlier today in front of the Bakersfield police department to thank the officers in blue.
Group supporter Daniela Hernandez says they are here to support law enforcement and all they do.
"They say if you want change you have to be the change so we are trying to prove that there are a lot of positive people that want to show our officers support, Hernandez said.
The group has helped in several memorials for fallen Bakersfield police officers like retired BPD officer Frank Pascua killed in Arizona last month and David Nelson who died in the line of duty.
Police Lives Matter 661 hopes to grow in size and say they will continue to support police officers any way they can.
