The community of Riverlakes in Northwest Bakersfield had a power outage which effected over 1000 customers has since been restored. This was caused by an underground power cable. With the Excessive Heat Warning still in effect, PG&E experts give advice to save money and to stay cool in the intense heat.
1)Regularly change your air filters
2) Seal your window A/C units so no hot air comes inside your home
3) Close your window shades
4) Try to use fans instead of A/C units
