The state court of appeals ordered a temporary stay on the 24th Street widening project and any work associated with it.

All work that would alter the “physical environment” will be stopped until the court rules on whether an injunction should be issued that will stay in place while the appeal is being decided, according to City Attorney Andy Heglund. This includes demolition.

The defendants have 20 days from the date of the order to file any opposition. The City will be opposing the requested injunction, according to Heglund.
