The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in California, has endorsed a proposed ballot initiative to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in the state.
This would apply to everyone who is 21 or older.
According to President Alice Huffman, legalizing marijuana is an important civil rights issue because pot-related arrests are "racially based."
