There is a full closure scheduled for the Truxtun on-ramp to Westside Parkway today, Friday October 20, 2017 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

The closure is being done in order to allow the contractor for the Kern River Bridge Improvements project to drive piles as close as possible to the on-ramp. 

Those driving near the closure are being asked to continue west on Truxtun Avenue to Mohawk Street and then proceed to enter the freeway from the Mohawk Street on-ramp. 

If you're traveling eastbound on the Westside Parkway you are being asked to merge in advance of theTruxtun Avenue off-ramp.
