Bakersfield High School had a ceremony this morning in remembrance of 9/11.
Faculty, students, and parents all gathered by the American Flag on campus, in order to remember the day that caused pain throughout the hearts of all Americans.
The school says that they want their students to know what happened on September, 11, and never forget one of the most catastrophic events that our nation has ever seen.
Most of the students in high school now were either really little or not even born yet when this attack occurred.
Regardless, students believe that even though this was one of the most tragic events in American history, they still feel very prideful and feel emotional when they think about what happened.
BHS had R.O.T.C run the ceremony this morning, by putting the flag at half staff and singing the national anthem.
After the ceremony concluded, students returned to their classes.
Other ceremonies are expected to take place in Bakersfield throughout the weekend.
