According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident website, a semi-trailer has caught on fire and is blocking the number 2 lane on the 1-5 South at Copus Road. Traffic is currently moving past the incident on the number 1 lane.

The fire broke out at 3:43 Wednesday morning. Environmental health has been called to the scene, and crews are anticipating the number 2 lane is expected to be closed for almost 2 hours.

The semi-trailer was completely destroyed in the fire.
