Heavy winds and sleet hit Tehachapi on Tuesday night limiting visibility for drivers passing through.
Earlier in the afternoon, the mountain community did experience some snow but it was not cold enough to stick to the ground.
Fog also hit parts of Highway 58 at around 8 p.m. slowing down drivers.
More rain is expected to hit Tehachapi in the next 24 hours and drivers are advised to slow down in dangerous conditions.
