Update: Caltrans is reporting that Highway 166 is now open and the California Highway Patrol is now pacing traffic in both directions between Maricopa and Santa Maria.

Caltrans is reporting that Highway 166, between Highway 33 and Highway 101, is closed due to heavy snow fall and multiple accidents in the area.
As of 1 p.m. there is no estimated time of reopening.
The California Highway Patrol says the Grapevine and Highway 58 remain closed with no estimate on when they might open again.
