UPDATE (October 20, 2017 3:15 p.m.): The superintendent at Wasco Union High School District, Lori Albrecht, released this comment earlier this morning regarding the threat made.
There was a social media post about Wasco High was made last night threatening violence. Wasco High Administration and the School Resource Officer identified the social media account from which the message originated, and have investigated the incident and found it NOT to be a credible threat. Regardless, we are taking every precaution to assure the safety of our students and staff on the Wasco High campus. We feel that it is safe for our students to attend school today, and we will proceed with our normal activities. I don't have any other comment or information at this time.

UPDATE (October 20, 2017 2:57 p.m.): The student was arrested on a felony charge for making criminal threats.

A student was arrested on Friday, October 20, 2017 around 7 a.m. after making threats referencing a possible shooting at Wasco High School on social media on Thursday night.
Officers with the Wasco City Substation showed up to the students house on Friday morning and arrested the student after they felt they had enough probable cause to do so.
The student was taken to Juvenile Hall.
