An Independence High School student was arrested by the Kern High School Police Department for bringing a BB gun to the campus.

The Kern High School District gave the following statement:

There was no disruption to classes or other school activities as a result of this matter. The Kern High School Police Department arrested this student, and appropriate student discipline will be applied by the school site administration.
