Teen Talk with Tilly provides support to teens with a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's disease

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Understanding how to cope with a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's disease is not an easy one. But the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County is helping teenagers navigate that journey.

Teen Talk with Tilly provides a safe space for teenagers to learn tips and tools on how to cope.

The support group participants interact in group-based discussions and ice-breakers.

The class meets once a month on Saturday. The next scheduled date for Teen Talk with Tilly is on September 28th is from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The support group is offered free of charge for teenagers.

For those interested in signing up for Teen Talk with Tilly are invited to call ADAKC at (661) 665-8871. ADAKC also provides other opportunities to discuss with others at their caregiver, spouse and survivor support groups.

The Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County is located at 4203 Buena Vista Road in Southwest Bakersfield.
