BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Local Toyota dealerships are covering the costs of pet adoptions this weekend.

In a news release, Kern County Animal Services announced that North Bakersfield Toyota and Bill Wright Toyota is are sponsoring all animal adoptions at all three Kern County Animal Shelters from this Friday to Monday.

For the past few years, the dealerships have generously come forward to pay the adoption fees of hundreds of shelter pets.

Steve Downs, who owns both dealerships said, “I love seeing the shelters empty and especially knowing that the animals have a home and a family for Christmas. Helping in making this happen makes me truly happy.”

KCAS said it will keep normal business hours, 10am until 4pm, Friday December 20th, Saturday December 21st, and Monday December 23rd. Adoptions happen between the hours of 10am and 4pm.
Sponsored adoptions will be only for animals available on December 20th, 21st, and 23rd.
