If you are heading toward the Los Angeles area, you may want to give yourself some extra time.
An overturned big rig on the southbound Interstate 5 freeway near Newhall is causing a several mile back up.
CHP officials said a traffic collision has closed lanes on SB I-5, South of Templin Hwy.
According to CHP officials, the injury accident, that happened several hours ago is still affecting traffic.
For a while, three lanes were closed but as of 3:27 pm. The left two lanes are open.
It is unknown at this time how many people were hurt or their identities.
