Batteries are being stolen from a neighborhood in Northwest Bakersfield. They belong to trailers that have been sitting out in front of their homes.

There have been more than five cases of stolen batteries in this area. The place where people went to talk about it was an app called "Next Door".

This is where Leroy Tiede decided to say that his trailer battery was stolen. Soon after, Tiede says that several people from the community commented on his post saying they had also had their battery stolen.

Tiede's neighbor from across the street shared her security camera footage with him after she heard that his trailer battery had been stolen.

In the footage, a car is seen pulling up in front of Tiede's home and parking next to the trailer. The thief is then seen going around their car toward the trailer. After taking the battery out, they return to their car and disappear into the night.

Other people around the community have also managed to snap pictures of this battery thief, but he still has not been caught.

Tiede urges his neighbors to look out for each other and to report anything suspicious around the community.
