Two junior high boys within the Panama-Buena Vista School District were arrested last weekend for posting a Snapchat video threatening to shoot up a school.

According to police, the 12 and 13 year old boys posted a video on the social media platform showing an air soft gun and said they were going to shoot up Tevis Junior High School.

The boys said it was a joke and that they had no intention of shooting up the school, they told police.

The boys were arrested on one misdemeanor count of making a false report of an emergency. Both were taken to Juvenile Hall.

Police notified the school.
