Two men were arrested on Wednesday for selling or giving a controlled substance to a minor in Delano.

Authorities confiscated eight pounds of meth, three pounds of what is believed to be heroin, a small amount of rock cocaine and a loaded semi-automatic handgun from the 600 and 700 blocks of Belmont Street.

Hector Avelar, 46 and Sergio Millan, 30, are both facing multiple drug related charges which include selling drugs to a minor on school property or a public place.

They are also facing transportation of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine base for sale, possession of controlled substance for sale and conspiracy charges.

In addition, Avelar is being charged with maintaining a residence to sell a controlled substance.
