On October 12 the University of La Verne opened up a brand new campus in Bakersfield. 

They had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening.

University of La Verne President Devorah Lieberman, Bakersfield Mayor Karen Goh, Dean of Regional and Online Campuses David Smith, and Campus Director Nora Dominguez all attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new campus.
