Time to bring out the camping tent and hit the road.
Now that the Cedar Fire is over 90 percent contained, U.S Forest Service has decided to reopen the campgrounds along the Upper Kern River.
After speaking with volunteers with the forest service, they say that the campgrounds are practically full already.
The people who I spoke with were from all over California, and wanted to come enjoy a piece of nature along the Kern River.
For campers, it was all about coming out to spend time with family.
Many packed up their cars with food, camping supplies, and fishing poles, looking to enjoy a long weekend this Labor Day.
