It’s a day set aside for veterans, the heroes that fought for our country and now need help reconnecting with society.
This morning at Stramler Park help was available at the 18th Annual Veterans Stand Down event.
The Veterans Stand Down event aims to help veterans who are homeless or in unstable living conditions get back on their feet.
There were dozens of resource booths available from haircuts and massages to mental health assistance and job placement.
There was also a veteran's court where vets with misdemeanor tickets could get their citations cleared in exchange for community service.
More than 300 veterans attended this year's event.
