Local Veterans received a hero’s sendoff this morning as they headed off to Washington D.C.
About 50 Vietnam Veterans gathered at Liberty High School for a sendoff as they headed to Los Angeles International Airport before their flight.
The flight was paid for by Southwest Airlines.
This group of Veterans will be back in Bakersfield Sunday night. The public is asked to show up to welcome them home.
