This year's Village Fest drew in thousands from across Kern County.

The 21 and over event, which took place at the Kern County Museum sold out, which it's done each year since its inception.

The cost of admission covers 15 food samples and unlimited drinks samples according to the Village Fest website.

Fifteen bands hit the stage.

In addition, 30 Bakersfield restaurants, 60 breweries and 25 Central Coast wineries gave samples throughout the evening.

The proceeds from the event go to Children's Advocates Resource Endowment, which benefits children in Kern County.

Village Fest is held each year the weekend after Labor Day.
