Woman charged with multiple counts in eight cases for pretending to be a lawyer

A woman has been charged with multiple counts of operating an illegal law practice and defrauding consumer.

Alice Madera was charged with one felony court of perjury, eight felony counts of grand theft by false pretenses, one felony count of intimidation under color of law and one misdemeanor count of practicing law without a license.

District Attorney Lisa Green shared that victims alleged that Madera falsely represented hereself as an attorney in order to obtain money from her victims. There are eight separate cases.
