President Trump holds a press conference Saturday in New Jersey.
The President spoke on the efforts going into health care for the Coronavirus and the economy.
He stated that "we are witnessing the fastest economic recovery in American history" and the success is due to the strong foundation that was set before the virus hit the country. He mentioned retail sales are up and the stock market are at an all-time high. He said a good report of the economy will be released before the election.
He also shared that small business optimism is surging back and is higher in the month of June than any month under the previous administration. And Consumer spending is expected to rise at an astronomical rate.
The President also spoke of how he wants football to come back. Speaking to the Clemson Tiger's quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, he said the player stated he feels safer on the field than outside of the field. Specifically mentioning that the Big 10 and Pack 12 are not coming back and that he wishes they'd come back, as long as they stand for the flag and National Anthem.
